A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to inactive email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an outdated email address or has made a mistake. The drawback of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of junk messages, but this issue can be resolved using anti-spam protection software. It is also vital to keep in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound messages to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a cloud web hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of functions, but it’s really user-friendly, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only a click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you will simply need to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the specific address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires one more mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated without any effort if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domain names hosted in your account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a mini button handily located right next to each of them. With just one single click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature through the context menu that will come into view. In case any of the prerequisites for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
